More than meets the eye

Inspired by IWC’s classic Mark 11 reference from the late 1940s, the new Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII Edition Hodinkee is a time-only tool watch that blends a relatively simple neo-vintage aesthetic with a truly cutting-edge construction. The watch’s 38mm case is crafted from IWC’s new Ceratanium alloy, a propriety material comprising ceramic and titanium that’s both lightweight and incredibly hard-wearing. Two years in the making, the olive-green piece is equipped with an automatic movement boasting a 48-hour power reserve, hands and dial markers with vintage-looking aged lume, and a calfskin strap with a Ceratanium buckle. Just 500 will be built, available through the Hodinkee store or via select IWC boutiques.
