Description

It don't get much more iconic Italian pocket GT than the early GT Junior with its "step nose" body and dash board with big dials. With the introduction of the 1300 cc engine the car became just a bit more affordable for a wider audience. We have praised the rev happy and crispy 1300 engine many times before. A power output of 89 BHP in a 1300 cc engine was very respectable in the sixties and with its 5-speed gearbox and disc brakes on all four wheels the Junior definitely earned its right to the GT badge even if it may be considered a pocket Gran Turismo compared to its contemporary multi cylinder exotic countrymen from Maranello and Bologna.

We found this Junior in Siracusa. After almost 50 years the the Sicilian sun had faded the paint somewhat so we decided for a full professional respray in the original green musk after a proper dismantling with all outside trim and windows out. The interior is in excellent condition so apart from a fresh set of carpets we decided to keep it original. Overall the car present itself as very original and almost pristine with no color change, original interior and no modifications on engine etc. Fitted with 14" GTA alloys and a nice Nardi steering wheel. A good opportunity to acquire an excellent example of the classic Alfa “stepnose” coupe.
