We have a very nice Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe on offer. Supplied from new on the 22nd May 1975 by Dick Ventura Volkswagen Inc. in Quincy, Illinois. We have obtained the car from its first owner, a fact borne out by the accompanying documentation. Every original book is still present, from the owners` manual, service book, guarantee certificates, customer id card to even the sales document holder from 1975. The first/only owner had kept the car for some 43 years and amazingly had only been driven 4,268 miles! This is one of the last Karmann cars ever built in Osnabrück, where production stopped on the 31st July 1974. It is finished in the original and special “Ravenna Green” with beige vinyl trim and carpets. The cars` authentic interior is in top condition. It is absolutely amazing that this car has retained over 90% of its first coat of paint! The bodywork is phenomenally straight with perfect body panel fittings. The hubcap edges are nice and thin and the even the sills are in their first coat of paint. It has retained its matching numbers original ‘1600 AH’ engine. Two years ago all the gaskets are replaced. The work done is backed up with the invoices. This Karmann has a rev-counter, a feature we had never seen before. This is a well-documented, low mileage, top quality Karmann with a very special colour finish, the like of which there is no other. Truly unique!
