Only produced for one year, in 1958, this timepiece brings together all the aesthetic key points that vintage dive watch collectors covet. With its oversized no guard crown, gilt radium luminous dial, and infamous red triangle bezel, this reference was the inspiration to the recent launch of the "Tudor Black Bay '58" at Baselworld 2018. This particular Lot is one of the finest examples of Ref. 7924 brought to auction. Fresh to market, this timepiece is in complete condition, retaining its original finishing, crystal, dial, hands, crown and sharp case lines. Its originality and rarity is even more impressive by maintaining the "red triangle" bezel insert with luminous pearl, normally replaced during service intervals with a white triangle bezel insert. This presents an incredible opportunity to obtain the holy grail of vintage tool watch collecting in its finest condition.
