Our new Talk to Driver video series is all about profiling influential and charismatic personalities who embody the spirit of both the classic car and mechanical watch worlds – from revered designers and racing legends to high-profile collectors. And where better to start than at Lake Como with Duccio Lopresto who, together with his father Corrado, claimed Best of Show at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in 2017 with his sensational Alfa Romeo Giulietta SS Prototipo? Our interviewer, the CEO of A. Lange & Söhne Wilhelm Schmid, is a classic car collector with an inherent interest in all things mechanical. And just a day before this year’s Concorso, he joined Lopresto to discuss everything from Franco Scaglione and his sensuous Giulietta, to the exquisite Villa D’Este winner’s A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Time Zone 'Como' Edition and what the next generation of car collecting looks like.
