"The Ford Mustang is an American icon and was originally based on the Ford Falcon compact. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan on 9th March 1964 and was introduced to the public at the New York World's Fair on 17th April 1964.  It was, and remains, one of the most successful product launches in automotive history. The Mustang sold over one million units in its first 18 months on the market and its legend lives on with revised models still in production today after 50 years.  With each revision, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions and in engine power.
This beautiful example is a 1965 model year however the car was built in 1964 making this a particularly early car and very collectable. Presented in its original colour combination of Wimbledon White with original black trim this example was sourced from single family ownership in the U.S.A. Contained in the history file of this low mileage example is the original title stamped by U.S customs, this strengthens the provenance and is one of the reason our vendor purchased and imported this car. By the vendors own admission fortunes have been spent on the car including new white wall tyres and new brake flexis. This A-Code Mustang is a factory high performance 4.7 litre V8 version with more power than the standard and more common C-Code. The car comes with factory four barrel carburettor, power brakes and power steering. This is a very desirable period Mustang in great order that is sure to turn heads."
