Description
"The roadster was the first of the MGB range to be produced. The body was a pure two-seater; a small rear seat was a rare option at one point. By making better use of space the MGB was able to offer more passenger and luggage accommodation than the earlier MGA while being 3 inches (75 mm) shorter overall. The suspension was also softer, giving a smoother ride, and the larger engine gave a slightly higher top speed. From 1972 there were two different radial sizes factory-fitted to new cars, depending on whether the car was a roadster or a GT. Later on during the rubber bumper production period, alloy wheels were introduced on several different limited edition models - with the final 1,000 LE models being the last cars to leave the factory with alloy wheels. This nice example of the MG B Roadster is presented in Gunmetal Grey with a black interior and green piping. It comes with a black canvas soft top hood, a hard top and is fitted with the more sporty Mini Lite wheels. The car was restored in 2002 and as it was part of a deceased estate, there are no restoration invoices unfortunately but there is just one old MoT certificate with the mileage showing 75,931 miles, which we believe to be genuine. The car also comes with a MoT test certificate which expires on 27th June 2019. The car is generally in a good condition and was garaged while in the previous owner’s care."
