Description

"The Jaguar XJS was a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 through to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XJS was actually more aerodynamic with the last one being produced on 4th April 1996; at that stage 115,413 units had been manufactured during a 21 year production life. Power came from the Jaguar V12 engine with a choice of a manual or automatic transmission although the manual gearbox was soon dropped. V12 engine cars were unusual at the time with notable exceptions coming from Italian luxury sports car makers Lamborghini and Ferrari. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph.
This lovely example is presented in the popular colour combination of Solent Blue with light grey leather interior.  We are informed by the current owner that this car spent some time in a museum and is in great condition as a result of being in such an environment. The car is presented with a current MoT test certificate which expires in April 2019 and importantly has no advisories.  This classic British luxury open-top sports tourer also comes with two sets of keys and the private number plate is included in the sale. This is a wonderful car for the summer months but also extremely comfortable for those long journeys in the winter."
