Description

"The original Mini is considered a British icon of the 1960s with its space-saving, front-wheel drive layout, allowing 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage; it was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. The distinctive, two-door vehicle was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis and was manufactured at the Longbridge and Cowley plants. The Mini Mk. I had three major UK updates; the Mk. II, the Clubman and the Mk. III. Within these were a series of variations including an estate car, a pick-up and a van.
Registered 20th June 1979, this 1098cc Clubman was the subject of a comprehensive restoration in 2008 which included a full body strip down and repaint in lime green. There are 15 old MoT test certificates  that go back to 1990 when the mileage was shown as 18,847. The current mileage of just 31,427 would suggest that this is genuine. Supplied with a history file that contains parts invoices and an original Mini / British Leyland handbook, this fabulous little car is in truly superb condition. It drives as good as it looks, fitted with a set of period Dunlop alloy wheels it is ready to go!
