Description

"When the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was released to the public in October 1965, the development departments were showing the result of work carried out over a period of some ten years and had the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce. The new models were technically striking in three ways. A monocoque chassis was used; all wheels were sprung independently and four wheel disc brakes now ensured stopping power of the sort that had come to be expected in a modern car. Under the bonnet, the V8 engine that had been introduced in the Silver Cloud series was employed. This very well presented Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I is offered in cream with a beige Everflex and magnolia leather interior. Originally delivered to Hadley Green Garage on 3rd September 1976 and sold to Vaughn Associates in London, we are informed the second owner was the pianist and entertainer Russ Conway, to whom several invoices were made out to in 1997 which are included in the history file. Since his ownership there has been a continual record of services shown with countless invoices for maintenance and remedial work. Also supplied with the car is a collection of old MoT test certificates and a valid MoT until January 2018, spare keys, tool kit and over mats. A lovely example of the iconic Silver Shadow sensibly priced for a new owner."
