Description
"The 560 SL convertible was the latest in Mercedes-Benz's long and much loved line of luxury sports cars. Launched in 1983 it could trace its lineage back to the 230 SL of 1963. The 560 SL was powered by a 5.5 litre, overhead camshaft V8 engine producing 227bhp, an output good enough for a top speed of 220kmh with 100kmh reachable in around eight seconds. There were improvements to the running gear in the form of anti-dive, anti-squat rear suspension, a limited slip differential and revised steering geometry. The 560 SL has a high level of standard equipment, included leather upholstery, anti-lock braking, an anti theft alarm system, stereo radio/cassette, leather trimmed steering wheel, gear lever and an improved climate control system.
This highly original example of the Mercedes-Benz 560 SL has been in the vendors possession for 20 years. This example has covered 79,479 miles. Elegantly presented in red with the original tan interior, this beautiful 560 SL is supplied with a V5C Registration certificate and an MoT test certificate valid until 22nd September 2018. This impressive cruiser comes with both soft and factory hardtop. A high-quality Mercedes-Benz full of elegance and style ideally suited to open top touring.
