Omega is doing its bit to save the panda…

In addition to the menacing Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8, Omega has just revealed another limited-edition Speedmaster — and it features a classic panda dial…

Limited to 2,998 pieces, the Omega Speedmaster CK 2998 ‘Panda’ is a more elegant interpretation of the classic chronograph, directly inspired by a reference from 1959 — 10 years before the watch sealed itself into the annals of history by becoming the first timepiece to be worn on the moon. It’s got a black ceramic bezel, a 39.7mm case, a black perforated leather strap, alpha-shaped hands, and, most notably, a panda-style dial. A wonderful embodiment of Omega’s rich DNA, it’ll cost 5,850 CHF when it goes on sale later this month.
