No, these three Triumphs haven’t been defaced…

…well, not exactly. While the artist who customised the motorbikes may be called D*Face, the three machines are actually a collaboration between the famous graffiti artist and British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph…

59 years of freedom

Starting out by spray painting and stencilling lampposts, billboards, and post boxes around London, Dean Stockton — known as D*Face — has transformed his career from street graffiti to gallery exhibitions and having his unique pieces sold in major art auction houses. A long-time Triumph owner, the company reached out to Stockton to see if he’d be interested in a collaboration, and thus, these three motorcycles were born. Called the Spirt of ’59, these three ‘modern classic’ Triumphs — a Bonneville Thruxton, a Bonneville Bobber Black, and a Bonneville T120 — have been spray painted, pinstriped, stencilled, and even received custom badges by Stockton, to not only capture each’s own spirit but also the feeling Stockton had when he climbed on the back of his father’s motorcycle for the first time. If you’re feeling lucky, these custom Triumphs will be offered in a lottery taking place 30 April — you just need to book a test ride with a Triumph modern classic and you’ll be entered.
