There’s a perfect storm brewing ahead of the 2017 Goodwood Revival

It’s that time of year again, the big event we’ve all had circled on our calendars and been counting down the days to since last September is now upon us. So, start digging through your closet for your vintage garbs and sending your classics out for a shine-up, because it’s Goodwood Revival time…

Glamourous Goodwood

Now in its 20th year, most of us are seasoned veterans of the event and put on airs as if we know exactly what to expect, but every year, as we cross the grounds of the Goodwood Estate and enter the vintage fun fair that is the Revival, we’re always left in awe at the magic laid before us by Lord March and his team. From the vintage outfits and delectable food to the Spitfires flying overhead and, of course, the historic racing on track, the Goodwood Revival never disappoints. This year, keep your eye out for some special events, including a high-speed demonstration to celebration the 60th anniversary of Ecurie Ecosse’s 1-2 finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a run of over 130 Fiat 500s, also to celebrate its 60th anniversary, and a TVR display at Earls Court to coincide with the announcement of the new model, as well as the returns of the motorcycle doubleheader Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, the St Mary’s Trophy for 1950s saloon cars, the Richmond Trophy for F1 cars, and the very popular Kinrara Trophy for pre-1963 closed cockpit GT cars, among others. With just mere hours left until opening day is upon us, we have just one thing to say — get ready Goodwood, we’re coming for you!
