This affordable 1970s chronograph reissue has popular pedigree

Sports watches from the 1970s have roared back into fashion like the racing cars they were inspired by, with manufacturers such as Tag Heuer and Omega reissuing classics from their archives. Bulova is the latest to join the club, with a fresh take on its cult-classic ‘Stars & Stripes’ Chronograph C…

Fresh faced

The 46mm Special Edition Chronograph C is a modern interpretation of the ‘Stars & Stripes’ watch that became something of a cult-classic in the 1970s. Available with either a blue leather strap or a wonderfully retro mesh bracelet, the timepiece features a high-performance, six-hand chronograph movement, concealed beneath a curved sapphire crystal and a distinctive blue, white, and red dial. Vintage aesthetics are all the rage in the watch world right now – at below 1,000 CHF, this lesser-known reissue is a sure-fire way to stand out from the Autavia- and Speedmaster-wielding crowd.
