Conscious cruising

One would assume that due to its name, the Thirtyeight, the yacht would be 38ft long, but the nine-tonne, cold-moulded, carbon-reinforced day cruiser is actually 39ft, with a 12ft beam. With two Volvo Penta IPS engines – each producing 300hp, for a maximum speed of 36 knots — the Thirtyeight claims a 40% longer cruising range, 30% less fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and 50% lower perceived noise levels. Along with being more environmentally friendly, the luxurious vessel has all the features worthy of superyacht status, including an open-concept cabin with a suite, lounge area fitted with Gaggenau appliances, mirrored folding partitions, large bed, spacious bathroom, and a central skylight, as well as a minimalist yet technologically advanced cockpit with quilted seats, a bathing platform, teak deck. For the eco-friendly yachting enthusiast who doesn’t want to sacrifice power or comfort, the Thirtyeight may be the best solution out there.
