Aston Martin’s new AMR models are racers for the road

The firsts of the new AMR range to go into production, the V8 Vantage AMR and V12 Vantage AMR are inspired by Aston’s FIA World Endurance Championship racers, and with a global production of just 300 units, they’re aimed at the more enthusiastic Aston owners…

Yet another special-edition Vantage-based Aston Martin, the AMR models will be available as 430bhp V8 or 595bhp V12 models, with either automated sequential paddle-shift or old-school manual transmissions. The standard Vantage AMR will be available in four exterior colour schemes (white with orange, black with blue, blue with red, or silver with grey), or buyers can opt for the ‘Halo Pack’, which features a Stirling Green and Lime Green colour scheme that’s inspired by the Number 95 World Endurance Championship-winning Vantage GTE. What’s more, the Vantage AMR will be available as a coupé or roadster, with Alcantara and leather interiors for coupes and full leather for roadsters, and will, of course, be available with myriad accessories and tremendous amounts of carbon fibre options. With a supposed retail price of 126,995 euros, order forms will be available at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans for those certain collectors who don’t already own a limited-edition, racing-inspired Aston Martin Vantage…
