Founder John O’Sullivan drew on his experience and connections gained while working at Chanel and Tanner Krolle to create his own highly unique and exquisite leather goods, including the original 1888 bag. Many years later, when he reached out to some of the craftsmen behind these iconic brands to assist in the revitalisation of the design, although long-retired, they were willing to provide some crucial insight.

From start to finish, the eight-month development process will provide 10 fortunate customers with the opportunity to work with some of the best bag designers and leather craftsmen in the world, designing their 1888 bag to their exacting specifications and choosing every minute detail, from leather to interior design and linings to hardware. Each bag will be one of a kind, with no two the same — the perfect luggage to accompany you on a short stint around the Continent.
