A grandiose gathering for Artcurial’s Rétromobile auction

A look through Artcurial Motorcars’ Rétromobile sale catalogue shows a thoroughly varied mix of metal, from hometown heroes to top-flight exotics. Here are our 10 highlights…

This year’s offerings from the French auction house are sure to delight the myriad of car fans flocking to Rétromobile on 10 February. The assortment of sharp Citröen models aside, the hot hatch hero 1993 Renault Clio Williams with just 21k kilometres from new (est. 25,000–35,000 euros) caught our eye, as well as the gorgeous silver 2000 BMW Z8 (160,000–200,000 euros), a design seemingly only getting better with age. Of course we could not forget the star of the auction, the sultry 1965 Ferrari Dino 206 GT Prototype (4–8m euros), no doubt at the top of a few collectors’ shopping lists. But truth be told, our hearts are leading us straight to the unloved 1981 Aston Martin Lagonda (50,000–80,000 euros), one of only 654 made.  You can browse the entire catalogue in the Classic Driver Market.
