sold in September 2002.
Very fine, very rare and unusual, rectangular, 18K white gold and diamond wristwatch with visible
one-minute tourbillon regulator and an 18K white gold Audemars Piguet deployant clasp. Accompanied
by an Audemars Piguet extract from the archives.
Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, baguette-set bezel, diamond-set cylindrical and curly lugs
(total 249 diamonds approx. 8.04 CT), diamond set winding crown, "bombé" crystal.
Mother-of-pearl with diamond indexes, at 6 aperture for the visible tourbillon cage under a polished
steel bridge. "Bâton" white gold hands.
Cal. 2881, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 19 jewels, lateral lever escapement with
one-minute tourbillon regulator with titanium cage and 3 equidistant polished arms, monometallic
balance with screws, adjusted to heat, cold an5 positions, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring.
