Globe-Trotter’s new collection is Anglo-Italian craftsmanship at its best

For its latest limited-edition range of suitcases, the British luxury luggage brand Globe-Trotter has teamed up with Missoni, the high-end Italian fashion brand best known for its colourfully designed knitwear…

Traditional craftsmanship

Crafted from ivory-coloured vulcanised fibreboard, using traditional Victorian machinery at Globe-Trotter’s Hertfordshire factory, the Missoni collection suitcases – available in either 13-inch, 21-inch or 30-inch sizes – are lined with one of three Missoni-designed patterns in Peruvian cotton. The distinctive and colourful patterns were knitted on Missoni’s heritage looms in Italy, and contrast beautifully with Globe-Trotter’s more traditional exterior that we’ve come to know and love. Finished with reinforced corners and vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather handles and strap – in Missoni’s ‘brick-red’ colour – we think the suitcases would look right at home on the rear parcel shelf of a Jaguar E-type or Ferrari 250 GT Lusso; don’t you agree?
