This Richard Mille Tourbillon is an Airbus for your wrist

Developed together with Airbus Corporate Jets, the French aviation giant’s private jet arm, Richard Mille’s RM 50-02 ACJ Tourbillon Split Second Chronograph features aircraft-grade construction for your wrist…

Aircraft on the ground

The Airbus-inspired design cues are clear to see, from the rectangular window-shaped dial with riveted white ceramic bezel, to the wheel and tyre-style crown. Even the luminous hands and intricate dial readings themselves look as though they belong on an electronic readout from the flight deck – this watch is perfect for both experienced pilots and those with simply a keen interest in aviation. Inside, the movement features pieces coated in a special anti-corrosive material used on Airbus’s planes. The complex movement itself is the manual-wound RM50-02, featuring a split-seconds chronograph, power-reserve indicator (around 70 hours) and a movement torque indicator. Just 30 Richard Mille RM 50-02 ACJ Tourbillon Split Second Chronographs will be built, priced at 1,050,000 US dollars. If you’ve just ordered a new Airbus private jet, the watch could well be the perfect companion. What’s a million dollars these days, anyway?
