Day cruising in this Testarossa-powered speedboat

Miami Vice’s Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs could only dream of this DC7 racing boat, powered by the V12 engine from a Ferrari Testarossa. Now this classic ‘seahorse’ is for sale in the Classic Driver Market…

In the 1980s, the Ferrari Testarossa was arguably the king of the road, but what about the water? The Dellapasqua ship-builder teamed up with Modenese racing specialist Motor Service to develop a Testarossa Daycruiser for the sea, based on a glorious DC7 racing boat. Under the supervision of Ferrari engineer Mario Vincenzi, the five-litre V12 was transplanted into the Kevlar-reinforced glassfibre vessel. The result is a daycruiser that boasts some serious performance. You can currently find the boat listed for sale in the Classic Driver Market.
