Porsche gives 'Mission E' the green light

Porsche has given the green light to the ‘Mission E’. By the end of the decade, the first purely electric automobile from Zuffenhausen will hit the roads, after a one-billion-euro investment that will create around 1,000 new jobs…

At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, Porsche revealed the ‘E Mission’ concept car, a sensational four-seat, all-electric luxury automobile. Now the vision will become a reality. “With Mission E we outlined a clear vision for the future of the brand,” commented Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Wolfgang Porsche. “Porsche will claim its place on the front row of this rapidly changing world of mobility, with this fascinating sports car.” The Mission E boasts the equivalent of 600HP, goes from 0-62mph in 3.5sec and promises a range of 500km.
