IN THE STYLE OF WATTEAU SILVER ENAMEL
Cartier, Mader circa 1910.
Very fine and rare, silver and enamel eleven-piece
travelling vanity set with clothes and hair brushes, glass
powder jars, perfume bottles and comb, each set with
a hand-painted watercolor scene after Jean-Antonine
Watteau. Accompanied by the original black leather
Cartier fitted case.

The scene depicted on the central large hair brush is take from Jaan-Antoine
Watteau's "Embarkation of Cythera" painted in 1717 and now in the Musee du
