Dunhill’s ‘Albany’ collection pays tribute to a London icon

The Albany complex north of St. James’s Palace is one of London’s most exclusive addresses – Lord Byron, Aldous Huxley and William Edwart Gladstone are just a few of the names to have lived there. Now Dunhill has named a collection of elegant leather bags after the elite residence…

You can hardly get a better address in the British capital than Albany. And the endless stories of former residents – from prime ministers and writers, to actors and royals – would certainly provide enough material for a period television drama. Now the British luxury goods brand Dunhill has named a collection after the address, described as ‘quintessentially British’. We can imagine the oxblood-coloured document holder in the back seat of a casually parked Aston Martin DB6 in front of the Albany gates only too well. London is our perfect city.
