The Model: During the earliest days of motoring, light duty trucks had been an important part of the automobile scene in the USA. Up through the early 1930’s, many of these smaller commercial vehicles, including Ford, created designs that shared a look and often components with passenger cars. During the late 1930’s, more style was offered to commercial users with Ford producing vehicles that still carried the family look. Over the years, custom builders had taken these handsome designs and added their own special flair creating rides that inspire one to want to get out on the street and cruise with the best of them. As supplies of these original examples of these great trucks began to dry up, the custom car industries have answered the call with quality reproduction bodies, fenders and even pickup bed that can be mounted on a number of chassis.

The Car: A total custom build from the ground up, the sharp pickup features a fiberglass cab and allsteel fenders. It has a tight fitting body that has been used very lightly with no signs of wear or tear. Looking inside you will find well crafted and comfortable seating with a concealed soundsystem, modern air-conditioning and all light controls concealed under the dashboard. Under the hood resides a Ford 5.0L EFI V8 that delivers plenty of power and is easily shifted. Sitting on a set of custom chrome wheels, 18” up front, 20” to the rear, this is ride full of pleasant surprises. While this is not exactly a “working” truck, the bed had been protected with a spray-in liner, and for safety it has modern lighting all around. This 1941 Ford pickup is sure to draw attention wherever it goes, perfect for show or maybe a cruise along the Gulf Coast!
