Model History
Series 1 Jaguar E Types waere manufactured between 1961 and 1968. They were powered by an inline six-cylinder 3.8-litre and 269hp engine. The power was sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual gearbox. In December 1964, the 3.8-litre engine was replaced by a 4.2-litre new powerplant. It offered almost the same performance, except for different torque. All E-types had independent front suspension and disc brakes on all wheels as a factory fstandard. The main difference between 3.8 and 4.2 cars were the bootlid logos. 4.2 had a “Jaguar 4.2 Litre E-Type” emblem, and 3.8 had “Jaguar” only.
Vechicle History
This series 1 Jaguar E-Type was produced on 8th of November 1962. It was delivered to New York and its first owner was Zilma Bend. Originally fitted with a manual gearbox, it was ordered in a very interesting color specification. Its body was of opalescent gunmetal shade. Leather upholstery was red. The car was completely rebuilt during last two years to its factory specification. Renovation was conducted by one of the most reputable British motoring specialist workshops in Central Europe. This E-Type has never been registered in Poland. Now it presents itself as a masterpiece. It is surely the best of European 1962 E-Types now on offer. This beautifully presented Jaguar is a perfect match for a British motoring enthusiast and investor.
