Low-mileage desirables at Silverstone Auctions’ Salon Privé sale

At Silverstone Auctions’ forthcoming sale at the annual Salon Privé extravaganza, a number of low-mileage classics will cross the block – including five from a single collection that could almost have come straight from the factory…

The quintet in question includes three Mercedes: a 560 SEC from 1986 with 38,000km (under 24,000 miles), a rare manual 280 SLC from 1975 showing 16,500km (just over 10,000 miles), and a 280SE from 1985 with only 5,700km (around 3,500 miles). Also included in the group is a 743km (under 500 miles) Porsche 911 Supersport, and a 1988 Daimler Double Six with 2,390km (under 1,500 miles) – but note, removing the ghastly chrome arch trims from the latter is pretty much obligatory.
