Monte Carlo Rally-winning Lancia 037 to star at Coys’ Blenheim Palace sale

Among the star lots at Coys’ Blenheim Palace sale – to be held on 11 July in Oxford – is the Works Martini Racing Lancia 037 in which Walter Röhrl won the 1983 Monte Carlo Rally…

The early victory was also instrumental in helping Lancia fend off the Audis, to claim the 1983 World Rally Championship by just two points. Allegedly well maintained since its retirement, the 037's pre-sale estimate is available on request only.

Other highlights of the 130-car sale include Prince Leopold of Bavaria’s Jaguar C-type Evocation, a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL ‘Gullwing’ shown at the 1956 Turin motor show, a highly-eligible Jaguar E-type ‘Semi-Lightweight’ (est. £210,000-230,000), and an extremely well-cared for (and matching-numbers) 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS Touring (est. £400,000-500,000).
