Artcurial to offer Ferrari surfboard among other collectables in Paris

It’s not just cars going under the hammer at Artcurial’s sale in Paris on 22 June 2015 – there’ll be a variety of collectables and rarities, too. We’ve selected our favourites…

Treasures, large and small

In addition to the some 70 classics Artcurial is offering on 22 June at the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris, there are also numerous treasures, large and small, from the automotive world. As is usual, a fair few items are Ferrari-related, such as the front end of a 246 SP from 1962, moonlighting as a sculpture, model cars, original steering wheels and – our favourite – the genuine Ferrari surfboard. Elsewhere, there’s an eye-catching old Bugatti body, estimated to fetch 18,000 to 28,000 euros, and the prototype of Ayrton Senna’s 1990 helmet, signed by the man himself. Its estimate is 45,000 to 65,000 euros.

Rarities, from Bond to Heuer

You can also find film posters of James Bond and Steve McQueen, automotive drawings by artists such as Georges Hamel and bonnet ornaments, among many more. All 156 lots can be found listed in the Classic Driver Market.
