SO-CALLED "HARD METAL" NEW OLD STOCK
Omega, "Seamaster Automatic", movement No. 25689076,
Ref. 166.078. Made circa 1970.
Fine and rare, large, hardened stainless steel, shock-resistant,
water-resistant, self-winding, center-seconds wristwatch with
date and a gold-plated Omega strap.
Two-body, polished and brushed, scratch-resistant steel
hardened by bombardment with Tungsten, flat and inclined
bezel, recessed crown, hooded lugs, screw-down back with the
Seamaster logo, flat mineral crystal.
Satine silver with applied gilt and black baton indexes, outer
minute and seconds divisions, date aperture, outer matte blue
border with white line. Gilt and black baton hands.
Cal. 565, held by 4 synthetic studs for full shock resistance,
copper-colored, 24 jewels, straight-line lever escapement,
monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat
balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator.
