Alfa Romeo 6C 'Flying Star' voted Best of Show at Hampton Court Palace Concours of Elegance

Making its debut UK appearance, the fabulous 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Touring ‘Flying Star’ has won ‘Best of Show’ at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace…

The ‘Flying Star’ is no stranger to concours events. Having been built specifically for the 1931 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este (where, accompanied by model Josette Pozzo, it duly won the Coppa d’Oro), it has since made numerous appearances at shows across the world… apart from the UK, that is.

That was rectified last weekend when, accompanied by 59 of the finest automobiles from every vintage and discipline, it was displayed at the Concours of Elegance in the stunning Grand Fountain Gardens at Hampton Court Palace. The rakish (and rather white) Touring-bodied 6C was voted Best of Show, adding to a list of accolades that includes wins at Pebble Beach (2005) and, rather aptly, Villa d'Este (2007).
