RM's N.A.R.T. Spider Ferrari sells for record $27.5m

A Ferrari 275 GTB/4*S N.A.R.T. Spider smashed the World Record auction price for a road car at RM's Monterey sale, achieving $27.5m including buyer's premium...

RM's Saturday sale saw a rare N.A.R.T. Spider command a hammer price of USD 25m, making it the most expensive road car ever sold at auction. It also took the record of the most valuable Ferrari (surpassing Gooding's $16.5m Testa Rossa a few years back) and became the second most expensive car to be sold at auction, bettered only by the $30m+ Mercedes W196 racing car sold by Bonhams last month.

Perhaps just as astonishingly, all proceeds will be donated to charity.
