There were many coachbuilders who built pretty bodies on this chassis including Ghia, Monviso and Bertone, whilst Viotti and Boneschi concentrated on the wooden 'Giardinetta' and Vignale the saloon cars. The car presented bears a close resemblance to the Ferrari 166 Inter. In fact it is thought that Enzo Ferrari appealed against Farina using the design because it resembled his product too closely. Its second owner was American cycling team Salco, who used the car as a promotional vehicle. The hand formed shell sits on a wire frame upon which the panels are shaped, the same construction method used by Touring to create the bodies o
