This beautiful Siluro was found by the vendor some years ago in a sorry state, but with some very interesting modifications to its 1953 Fiat 500 C Topolino chassis: it has been lightened, the engine positioned behind the front crossbow and the fuel tank has been cleverly positioned underneath the driver’s seat, while braking is improved through the fitment of enlarged and cooled drum units from a Fiat 1100. This pretty two seater Siluro sits on modified Fiat 1100 S wheels, the engine is fed through a 22mm Weber carburettor, the water pump is from Abarth and the machine-turned aluminium dashboard features Jaeger instruments. All this impressive specification is housed in a very attractive aluminium body shape, created by the Cooperative Carrozerie Modena in 1955/56. Recently comprehensively restor
