In the film, our hero uses the twin-barrelled rifle (firing a .50-calibre bullet, not a shotgun cartridge, please note) in the final sequences, set on his family estate in Scotland. Without giving too much away, whoever is on the other end of it meets a sticky end. And a glance at a 500 Nitro Express round standing alongside a 12-gauge shotgun cartridge is likely to give anyone nightmares: it positively dwarfs it.
