He and his brother, rich textile inheritors, were the main financiers of Scuderia Ferrari, founded on January 15, 1930, a corporation from which Alfredo Caniato and his brother Augusto owned 130 shares, Enzo Ferrari owned 50 from issued 200, Testi 5, Pirelli 5 and Alfa Romeo 10.
