The birth certificate of this Karmann Ghia cabriolet indicates a first delivery in Lübeck on the 1st of March 1967. Presumably early in its life the 1.2 litre motor with its rather leisurely 34hp was replaced by a 1.5 litre unit delivering a bit more purchase with its 44hp. The engine letter “H” stamping indicates a period correct engine assembled between August 1966 and August 1970. In November 1972 this handsome convertible was first registered in Switzerland. Over the years the bumpers were removed and Moto-Lita sports seats featuring integrated head rests were installed. In 2008 the Karmann was purchased by the vendor and used for occasional outings during the summer months. The coachwork is in good condition with the interior showing signs of use. In March 2021 a major service was completed followed by a successful MOT inspection.
