- High level restoration job
- Rare model and much sought after
- Brilliant performance
Delivered new on June 26, 1982 in anthracite grey, the most beautiful shade available, this car was a bombshell in the small sports sedan segment. Purchased in July 2005 by a true enthusiast of this model, it has been fully restored in every detail. Nothing was left to chance by the owner, who has been very meticulous and very particular about originality: the engine and its famous Oettinger cylinder head, shock absorbers, crankshaft, fuel pump, flywheel, running gear, brake and clutch... nothing has been forgotten! The upholstery and carpet look like new. The car has all its equipment with its specific parts: logos, ATS rim centers and additional dashboard instruments. Since this exemplary restoration, the car has covered only 1000 km at weekend gatherings. It therefore seems to be like new, and functions as such. Incidentally, the owner of this car was interviewed with the CEO of Volkswagen France. Of course, the maintenance manual, the technical documentations, the rare brochure in three folders, as well as all invoices will be delivered to the buyer.
The Golf GTI 16S Oettinger are extremely difficult to find, and especially one in such a condition. Remember that this great version, launched by VW to counter competition, has been produced in a limited run of just 1,250 units. What you are getting here is rarity and impressive performance, all packaged in an exceptional condition.
