This is a beautifully restored and overhauled 1969 Volvo P1800S. This example was built in Sweden and restored there by a specialist. The car has been completely disassembled and restored to its former glory with great care and a sense of originality. The car has been repainted in its original color and looks beautiful at first glance. The Volvo P1800S not only looks great but is also equipped with a number of nice extras such as an Overdrive, alloy wheels, rear window heating, tinted windscreen, headrests, a radio and a tachometer.

If we look at the body, it is immediately apparent that the sheet metal is nice and thin and the body has beautiful fits. The paint was well sprayed at the time and still has a beautiful shine. The P1800S is mounted on wider rims than were fitted from the factory. The wheels give the car a tough appearance. The rims are fitted with good Michelin tires in the correct sizes. Items such as the mouldings, bumpers and window rubbers are only in very good condition and fit everywhere as they should.

The interior has been completely reupholstered and looks to be through a ring. The seats have headrests and were not only reupholstered during the restoration but also newly filled. The carpets have been completely re-fitted and fit beautifully throughout. The dashboard has also been completely reupholstered and looks beautiful. The instruments and controls are all completely original and look beautiful. The headliner has also been completely renewed and fits neatly everywhere.

The technology has been completely overhauled and is in top condition. The Volvo P1800S is powered by the well-known B18 engine, which in this case produces 115 hp and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. At the time, the Volvo P1800S was already praised for its wonderful driving characteristics and good road holding. In that regard, little has changed in the past 50 years, the car still drives wonderfully. The chassis and brakes were completely renewed during the restoration and the differential was also overhauled. The car feels wonderfully tight and drives exactly as a Volvo P1800S should drive. The steering box is of course also completely free of play and contributes to the tight steering behaviour of the Volvo.

The P1800S comes with some general documentation. In short, not only a beautiful Volvo P1800S to see but also a pleasure to drive.
