The Triumph TR 6 is a typical example of a car that could not be ordered in the wrong colour. Impossible! Just look at this fantastic “Mimosa Yellow” example. A lovely car in a wonderful colour scheme. This car was originally an American supplied car that made its way to Germany in 1992. The first German owner kept the car until 2011 and the second to 2020. Good care has always been visited upon this car. Between 1992 and 1994 the TR6 underwent an extensive restoration. In the last few years the current owner invested another € 6,000.- in the car’s mechanics. The extra work was done to make a great looking car drive superbly as well. Work undertaken include; a gearbox rebuild, new fuel pump, new bumpers, overhaul of the steering, carburettor and all of the suspension. The effect is immediately obvious when you drive the car. From the very first moment you feel that this is a solid car. The TR6 steers precisely and follow orders to the letter. The engine runs fantastically well and gives a wonderful soundtrack thanks to the sports air filter and stainless steel exhaust. The manual gearbox is precise and free from any play. The brakes are responsive and thanks to the excellent state of the suspension, its road manners are impeccable. To often the suspension is last investment on the restoration list. A new suspension however can make the car feel new again, as is the case with this TR6. Not only is the car mechanically sound. The bodywork is at least as fine. The straight panelwork is correctly aligned. The brightwork and bumpers are all in good shape. The paintwork is bar a few very minor blemishes is very good condition and was well applied during the restoration. The hood is also in great shape and closes securely. The interior has also received its share of attention. During the restoration the whole of the interior trim was authentically replaced. The interior has developed a lovely patina over the years and is still in great condition. All switches and instruments are in great working order. This Triumph TR6 comes with extensive documentation. All invoices dating back to 1992 have been kept. There is a very extensive file that nicely explains and underpins this examples good mechanical and physical shape. Everything points to the fact that previous owners have always cherished this TR6.
