Considered by many to be the last of the traditional British sports cars, the Triumph TR6 was the last of a long and fine line of fast and affordable open two seaters. Its origins lie in the TR2 of 1953 which evolved into the first of the similarly Belgrove-styled TR3/TR3A and then the Michelotti-penned TR4 and TR4A. When launched in 1968, the TR6 received a warm welcome and was regarded as the spiritual successor to the muscular Austin Healey 3000.
This delightful example is most attractively finished in red with a contrasting black interior and hood and has been recently subject to some expenditure including fitment of a new dashboard as well as a new soft top, double stainless steel exhaust and a Moto Lita steering wheel.
