General OverviewToday this Subaru presents essentially as new with excellent factory applied Alpine White paint that is original throughout, displaying virtually no signs of age reflecting a beautifully preserved exterior. The body panels have been digitally metered, returning paint depth readings consistent with factory original paint. The body panels are in excellent condition showing factory fit to the doors, trunk, and hood with excellent fit to the front and rear bumper caps. The unique biplane wing is factory painted to match with no evidence of warpage as typically seen in cars stored outdoors. The trim, lenses, and glass are all in excellent condition and bear all the markings consistent with factory installation. The impressive BBS wheels are finished in gloss black contrasted by gold caliper Brembo brakes. A set of Bridgestone Potenza tires are fitted. The original black and blue fabric interior is like new throughout. The seating surfaces are very nicely preserved as are the door panels, and carpeting. The interior has been upgraded with a pair of Willans 5-point seatbelts and a Cusco/Safety 21 4-point roll bar with harness bar. The dashboard and instrumentation are in excellent condition with clear digital readouts, proper function, beautiful factory dials, and excellent surface finishes including the carbon fiber inserts on the dashboard. Installation of the three-gauge package is very well done as are the JVC stereo, Apex controller, and digital intercooler gauge integrated into the center console. The steering wheel, control details, 6-speed manual gear shift handle, and added instrumentation all remain in excellent condition. The overall fit and finish of the interior is crisp, fresh, and nicely upgraded with performance enhancements that add to the mystique of these powerful cars. The engine compartment retains stock finishes and factory correct components. The original engine is clean and properly detailed, with all cosmetic features under the hood remaining fresh and properly maintained displaying excellent factory finishes and correct hardware as well as modest upgrades for performance enhancement including a Cusco Type OS front strut tower brace. The Apex boost controller is located on the passenger side strut tower, which is compatible with a stock wastegate/turbo, however the hoses are currently disconnected. A period correct DASKTEK piggyback is on the ECU. The trunk remains stock from the factory, displaying correct materials and finishes, an unused spare tire, proper accessories, factory tools, and correct construction details consistent with factory original examples. Underneath the car, the chassis is in excellent condition showing no visual evidence of structural compromise to the floor pan or suspension mounting points. The floor pan appears essentially new, free of major marks or damage, consistent with the zero-accident Carfax and the original miles indicated. An upgraded Random Technology exhaust has been installed as well as an Invidia Equal Length header, and a downpipe leading to high-flow catalytic converters. A Perrin rear sway bar with aftermarket steel lateral links has been installed.
