Description

Small utility vehicle with a lot of charm
French title

This Simca 8 is an interesting "baker" version, a van which rear part is bodied in wood. This specimen was delivered during the Second World War, in 1942, at a time when French car factories were requisitioned by the German army for the manufacture of weapons and military vehicles. It has survived this period of conflict to reach us today. It offers a beautiful presentation under its biton beige and burgundy paint that binds perfectly to the complexion of varnished wood van part. It has never experienced a complete restoration but is very healthy and it works very well. It is a car which aesthetics is borrowed directly from the inter-war but which modern mechanics for the time makes it easy to use. It was used by its current owner as an advertising vehicle driven frequently in Paris.
