At the request of the first owner T.R. Pick, Rolls-Royce brought the car to coachbuilder Hooper and Co to have it personalised. 2 Separate front seats were placed, transparent sunshades mounted, other tray tables and other trunk closures. Which makes this a unique version.

The car was repainted once, in 1975, in the original two-tone cellulose lacquer. In recent years, the Rolls has been fully restored both technically and the interior while retaining its authenticity. The original Connolly leather has been preserved. The burr walnut woodwork has been restored and fitted with the original and working His Master’s Voice tube radio with bakelite knobs. New headlining and carpeting mounted. Even the headlights have been overhauled and so they are rare and original with the RR logo!

Technically, everything has been renewed or overhauled. The engine has been cleaned internally, the cylinder is flatted and new piston springs have been mounted. Carburettors overhauled, gearbox overhauled.Brakes overhauled as well as the mechanical power brakes (Rolls-Royce / Hispano). Also the shock absorbers, the power steering, the fuel system and the heating system have all been overhauled.

The bodywork still looks neat after the 45 years that have passed following the new paint job but naturally shows some slight traces of wear. Everything has been documented e.g. production cards, old maintenance invoices and photos. Also the original handbook, the matching tool kit and the jack with accessories are available.

The car has been preserved in a rare original condition and drives like a Silver Cloud should drive. Lovely! The engine starts directly and runs great. The engine, gearbox and cardan are nicely dry. The 4-speed gearbox shifts very well and without any glitches when shifting gears. A lot of love and money went into Rolls-Royce.

The car dates from 1957 and is exempt from periodic inspection and is tax-free (in the Netherlands). It is also cheap to insure as a classic car (in the Netherlands).
