French title - René Arnoux's personal car - In very good condition, both externally and mechanically - Formula 1 star René Arnoux's first car The first owner of this Renault 8 Gordini 1300 was none other than Georges Arnoux, who wanted to give his son René his very first R8! A police report and the old registration document attest this fact. The current owner has managed to acquire this car which comes in a very rare condition. Devoid of any corrosion, it has very neat mechanicals, which are the car's main characteristics: nearly new discs and pads, and aviation lines for the braking system; a new radiator (from 2012); front axle redone; the gearbox has been rebuilt by specialist Tony Delmouli; the 1296cc Conrero engine has been reinforced with a con rod; a new clutch with reinforced bearing has been added, new alternator (in 2011); the Hydrovacs has been completely redone in 2013; battery is from recent times; it has a new electric pump; new bellows; and new straps on the rear axle. The rubber seals for the windows and windshield are in very good condition and the car has a tripmaster that is connected to glove box and the driver has a dead pedal on the left. The tyres are almost new and the car comes with its original jack, and a large invoice file. A very fine example of a Renault 8 Gordini with an interesting and unique history
