Is this not a glorious beast of a car? At its inception in 1975 the Porsche 930 Turbo was the fastest car on the German market. The 911 turbo version had a 3.0 litre engine with a single KKK-turbo charger at its disposal. At the start the engine produced 260 horsepower which subsequently would only increase over the years depending on where the car was supplied. The 911 generation delivers all its power solely to rear wheels. This 1986 3.3 litre Porsche 930 Turbo was supplied from new to the States and developed 282 horsepower put through a manual 4-speed gearbox. The car has been kept in very original condition with only 69,000 miles on the clock.

Incorporating a Turbo, Porsche tried to open up a new slice of the market and even up the competition with the likes of the Lamborghini Countach. Besides the improved power output it also had more luxurious features. Porsche of Kansas City were responsible for supplying this particular model. The car has been in the Netherlands since 1994 and still looks great. From the start this car benefited from lots of fine accessories. Whilst the 930 Turbo already came with air-conditioning as standard, the first owner added heated seats, a Blaupunkt radio, a 40% limited split differential, a car alarm and finally a tilt and slid sunroof.

The bodywork is still in very original condition. The correctly aligned panel work is nice and thin. For cosmetic reasons the car received a partial respray. Whilst the paintwork is still very neat, it does naturally show some signs of wear commiserate with the car’s age. It stands on the correct Fuchs rims. There is fine black leather and carpets inside. Both dashboard and instruments are in a neat used condition.

As the car has been used sparingly in recent times, the odometer has jet to pass the 70.000 mark.

The engine runs wonderfully smooth and even compared to today's standards is an incredible force of nature. The manual 4-speed transmission shifts precisely with its characteristic long stroke. The photos support the fact this car has been kept in pampered heated garages for most of its life.

This 930 Turbo comes with its original service booklet and various receipts. In short this wonderfully original and well maintained Porsche 930 Turbo is ready to be enjoyed.
