9112101709 was delivered new in the striking color of Light Yellow (62) over Black leatherette (11), and optionally equipped from the factory with US Equipment, 6Jx15 Fuchs Wheels and 185/70VR15 Tires, Koni Shocks – instead of Boge, Stabilizers F/R, Comport Equipment, Air-Conditioning and Tinted Glass All-Around. A near lifelong Portland, Oregon car, ownership records on file begin February 27, 1978 with its purchase by the Porsche's longtime caretaker William Shreve, through Motor Sports International of Portland at 68,699 miles. With thoughtful care and limited use, the 911 now displays just 80,250 documented original miles. The Porsche was driven occasionally into the late 1990's, when it was stored until 2005 and recommissioned for use by Heckmann & Thiemann Motors of Portland who serviced the car for several years prior, along with Motor Sports International. Further restorative work picked up in 2014 and 2018/19.

Today, 9112101709 presents exceptionally well and performs just as well as it looks. Within recent years, great care has been taken to sympathetically preserve and/or restore all aspects of the car. This included an exterior repaint in correct color, along with all new rubbers and seals. The original etched side and rear glass remains fitted (with original California emission decal), while the trim was refinished as new and much of the brightwork and lenses appear original. Factory applied paint and decals are displayed in both the engine bay and front luggage compartments. The 911's cabin also displays original surfaces and materials, including the carpet and surrounding leatherette surfaces. The front seats were completely restored down to the finishes and hardware. A later Sanyo headunit remains fitted. All interior/exterior lights, instruments, safety equipment, and ice cold air conditioning are in excellent working order. The front compartment contains an original date coded spare with new Pirelli CN36 tire, matching the other mounted wheels. An original jack and tool kit resides up front as well. All five Fuchs wheels have been nicely refinished and display 2/1972 (x4) and 3/1972 (x1) date stampings and mounted with brand new Pirelli CN36 tires.

Reflecting the topside, the 1972's undercarriage is immaculately detailed with original undercoating and paintwork throughout. Select hardware were refinished, while many of the surfaces remain beautifully original. Importantly, the 911 retains its matching-numbers engine and transmission – verified by Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. The engine recently received a top end rebuild and refinish of all surfaces to excellent concours standards by its most recent caretaker and marque enthusiast. Immaculate and correct in form, including associated components and finishes. A 2020 inspection and scheduled service was performed to insure further excellent drivability.

With the rare combination of year, air-conditioning, color and condition, this example should be seriously considered by any 911 enthusiast. Ready to drive or display, 9112101709 is available for worldwide purchase and delivery from our Houston, Texas showroom.
