Forget backdating... Forward dating was all the rage for F-Body Porsche 911s during the 1980s and 90s. This particular early production 1967 911, 305729 is believed to have received its current 964-esque updating sometime in the 1990's – yet importantly, still retains its original number-matching engine on its short wheelbase chassis.

Visually, the 911 appears to have been fitted with short hood and fenders, along with a 964 front bumper. The sides are equipped with G-Body rockers and 964 mirrors, leading to widened rear fenders, rear impact bumper, below a Carrera decklid and whale tail. Complemented by 90s-era 5-spoke wheels.

While the cabin retains most of the original green gauges and aluminum dash trim (now painted over), the vast majority of the upholstery and fittings were later dated as well, including the dash, seats, center console and door panels. A newer gas tank and space-saver spare continue the theme under the front bonnet. The rear engine bay, while not quite accurate in appearance, displays the original matching block, numbered 909385.

The undercarriage, as with the luggage compartment reveals the car was certainly Blood Orange/Tangerine at some point. Possibly rotisserie sprayed, judging by the extent of coverage. The floor pans appear original, while the battery box and torsion bar supports were likely replaced long ago. A few small areas of corrosion are photographed. The suspension has received later components as well, most noticeably in the front.

An incredible value for someone looking to restore back to factory configuration or a 911R type build. The Coupe has been stationary for some time and does not currently run or drive, and will need a full mechanical rebuild prior to any use.
